The Driving Soul

The Driving Soul is a book of poetry and prose. The selected poems included in the collection were written over the last thirty years. They cover different topics, among them, writing, people, politics, teaching, and the environment. The short story toward the end of the book deals with the author’s early years, when he was growing up in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.
